How We Rate
This page explains where the information on this site comes from, what we check before publishing it and why each point matters to a player in Great Britain. It describes our method only. It is not a review of any casino.
Where the information comes from
We rely on primary sources, not on opinions or promotional summaries. Each page is built from the material the operator publishes itself and from the licence information it points to.
- The operator's own website and its help centre
- Bonus terms and conditions for each offer
- General terms and conditions
- Payment and withdrawal pages
- The licence register of the named regulator
If something cannot be found in one of these sources, we do not present it as fact.
What we check and why it matters
The same checklist is applied to every page. Below is each point and the reason a UK player should care.
We note which licence the operator states and whether it can be matched to a register. This tells you which regulator, if any, you could complain to. Our licence and safety page applies this check to one casino.
A large headline figure means little without the details. We record wagering requirements, minimum deposit, maximum bet, expiry period and any split across several deposits. Our bonus page shows how these are laid out.
We list deposit and withdrawal methods, minimum and maximum amounts, and the stated processing time. We also note which identity documents may be requested. These decide how easily you can get money in and out. See the withdrawal page for an example.
We look at the number of games, the named providers, the live casino supplier, support channels and their hours. We also check for deposit limits, time limits, reality checks and self-exclusion. Players should be able to control their play, so missing tools are noted.
When sources disagree
Operators sometimes state different figures in different places, for example a promotion banner and the bonus terms. In that case we give priority to the full terms and conditions over marketing text.
If the conflict cannot be resolved, we say so on the page or leave the detail out. We do not pick the more attractive number. Where a rule is unclear, we advise you to confirm it with the operator's support before you deposit.
How often pages are re-checked
Bonus terms, limits and payment options change often. We re-check pages against the sources above on a regular schedule and when we notice a change. A page may still be out of date between checks, so treat the operator's current terms as the final word.
What this site does not do
- We do not accept payment to change, soften or hide a fact.
- We do not promise winnings or suggest that any bonus is risk-free.
- We do not target anyone under 18 or encourage play beyond your means.
- We do not claim hands-on testing, interviews or other work that we have not documented.
Gambling is for adults and carries financial risk. Only stake money you can afford to lose, and use the limit tools if play stops being enjoyable. If you see an error, tell us and we will check it against the sources.
